About
Allan’s Vending Service has been providing “old-fashioned service” in the Upper Valley since 1975.
Allan’s Vending is a family business. Steve and Joann Allan purchased their vending company in 1975. It was a one-person operation which started out as a penny gumball business in 1952. The route was a small 2-person operation until 1980, when they hired their first full-time employee.
Steve and Jo Ann worked out of their home and two-car garage in West Lebanon, New Hampshire until 1985 when they bought a 3000-sqaure foot building across the street at 7 Central Avenue in West Lebanon, NH. This was also the year that their son, Scott, joined the company. During this period, they became a full-time vending and food service operation. Coffee and bottled spring water services also added.
As the business expanded, they built and moved into their present location at the junction of I-89 and I-91 in White River Junction, Vermont.
Steve and Jo Ann have been recipients of Lebanon’s “Business Persons of the Year” Award. They attribute their growth to “old-fashioned service,” and giving back to the community that supports their business through contributions to many organizations in the Upper Valley.
